Finding Kids is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) that uses specialized private investigators to find missing children and protect those most vulnerable to exploitation.

Unlike law enforcement, which is often overloaded with cases and bound by jurisdiction, Finding Kids offers a fast, collaborative, and accessible approach. Their investigators:

Interview families, friends, neighbors, and community members

Analyze call logs, digital footprints, and open-source intelligence

Review social media activity

Conduct fieldwork across county and state lines

Access public documents and records

Partner with law enforcement to provide actionable leads

This multi-layered strategy helps generate critical clues quickly while giving families an option that feels safe, supportive, and immediate.

Within hours of taking a case, Aftercare Advocates reach out to parents and caregivers to:

Offer mentorship from Child Advocates who have lived experience

A Second Chance for Ari

With help from a Spanish-speaking Parent Advocate, Maggie learned how Finding Kids could support her. The investigative team immediately began working the case, interviewing family members, analyzing social media clues, and following every lead.

Months later, in collaboration with the Los Angeles Human Trafficking Task Force, Ari was found in a known trafficking hotspot.
