Hey, my name is Samantha Warren! I changed my career trajectory entirely once I realized my true passion for exercise science and nutrition. In the beginnings of my new career (after getting myself into gear with only randomly seeing bucked up here and there), I finally met the crew at IDEA worlds and decided right then that I had to work with them. It changed my workout game entirely from then on out.
What truly inspired it was going from one of my rock bottoms in life to realizing how much I loved the gym and bettering myself and others.
I want to talk more about the lean gains side!
Lots of people talk about amazing fat loss journeys, I have had my own of sorts. However, I want to share the recomposition transformation aspect of fitness.
I switched careers from film and tv acting into the exercise science realm- receiving several well-regarded fitness certifications and my MS in Exercise, and Fitness & Health Promotion. During this period of my life, I was able to put on about 10 pounds of lean mass, increase my strength in general, and all my lifts.
It was not easy whatsoever, but it was well worth it. Without the Bucked Up family, I would not have made some of the PRs I did, nor be able to manage my stomach issues that held me back in the past (shoutout to berry greens)!
This is a true testament to the fact that lasting gains take time and that proper supplementation, on top of a well-rounded diet, works. I love connecting with people on their journeys, other exercise science nerds and professionals, training people online or in person!
What was your biggest obstacle and how did you overcome it?
Spinning my wheels and working jobs in a career I was no longer happy with (mental health: rock bottom) just to make ends meet, while preparing to shift gears.
I overcame it by perseverance, staying in the gym and finding a great support community within.
How has Bucked Up helped with your journey?
The greens have helped manage my IBS flare ups tremendously! The pre workouts (obviously) have given me the hype I need and extra energy to hit some PRs. Those are the two biggest that come to mind, outside of the comfy clothes and awesome group, of course.
What do you do for motivation?
Remind myself of my cousin, Brian. He’s almost 3 years into his fight with ALS (Lou Gherig’s disease), and does so much every single day; if he can do it, I can too!
You also don’t get the ass you want by sitting on it. I feel better when I move and sometimes there just isn’t motivation. It’s discipline.
What are your favorite Bucked Up products and flavors?
What was the one thing that most impacted your success?
Being real and authentic
Any advice you’d like to give to people looking to start their own journey?
Just start! It doesn’t have to be pretty or perfect and you’ll never be 100% ready. Every small change you make will add up.
