My name is Stephen Bodiford. My weight loss transformation took a little over six months to lose the extra fat I wanted to get rid of. My inspiration came from my children: one day playing with my kids and running around the house, my son asked me why I had to stop and take a break. This really resonated with me, because I had no answer to give them other than I was out of shape.

What was your goal? How did you reach it?

My initial goal was to lose 20 pounds; weighing in at 220 pounds I wanted to step on the scale and see 199.

After reaching my initial goal, I continued on with my journey until I lost a whopping 60 pounds. I was able to do this through hard work, consistency, and eating healthier.

What was your biggest obstacle and how did you overcome it?

One of my biggest obstacles in the beginning was actually getting myself up to go work out. Sitting on the couch in the morning becomes too easy, but once I got to the gym I knew I was going to be okay.

To help overcome this, I set a time to start getting ready for the gym. Every morning at 9 AM I would shut off the TV, get off the couch, and get myself prepared to go to the gym.

How has Bucked Up helped with your journey? *

Bucked up has seriously helped in so many ways. I’m not a brand ambassador nor am I getting paid to say this, but Bucked Up supplements are the best! I’ve tried almost everything as I think we all have and I found what worked for me.

One of my favorite things is the Deer Antler Velvet spray, which I noticed helped with recovery time in between workouts.

What makes Bucked Up different from other supplements you have tried?

So, what makes Bucked Up different than all the other supplements that I’ve tried? Literally everything! The taste, the effect, and the lasting results are far superior than any other line of supplements I’ve tried.

I have multiple half used pre-workouts from other brands collecting dust on top my fridge. Either I didn’t like the taste or I didn’t get the jolt I needed in the gym.

What do you do for motivation?

My father recently passed away at the young age of 71. During my grieving process I decided I wanted to be in my kids’ lives for longer. The decisions I was making not only were harmful to myself, but also to my children and my wife. I strive for longevity, and my determination is unwavering.

What are your favorite Bucked Up products and flavors?

My absolute favorite product is the Deer Antler Velvet spray, which I use twice daily. I love the high stimulate Woke AF in Grape Gainz flavor. I’ve been using the BAMF Black Welcome to Miami for about a week now; I believe it’s the best tasting of any pre-workout.

What was the one thing that most impacted your success?

The compliments given to me after I started losing weight were the confidence boost I needed to continue on my journey. Having people notice the changes helped me work harder.

Once I loved the person I saw in the mirror my whole life changed. I’m a happier person, a more loving husband, and a better father.

Any advice you’d like to give to people looking to start their own journey?

Setting realistic goals is very important when starting a weight loss journey. Sticking to your plan and not giving up. For me personally I didn’t have a goal to lose 60 pounds. I realistically wanted to lose 20, and then after reaching my first goal I set another goal of losing another 20. I truly feel like having an obtainable goal and reaching it gives you more motivation to obtain your next goal.

Logan Peterson is an avid writer and an unprofessional, non-competitive bodybuilder. Logan has several degrees, all of which he made up to sound more credible (for obvious reasons, Legal said he can’t list them). In truth, he simply has an insatiable curiosity. After eleven years of obsessive research, he knows too much about fitness, nutrition, and supplementation for his own good. Despite all appearances, he’s fiercely nerdy. Outside of fitness, his passions are reading and writing; his genre interests run the gamut from litrpg to satire. Due to ADHD, he’s currently working on several novels, and will likely publish all of them at once. And yes, he wrote his own bio...in third person.
