On this week’s edition, we’ll be highlighting the story of Shannon Halverson and her incredible weight loss story. Starting at 210 pounds, her journey began 5 years ago. Her joints constantly hurt, she felt depressed, and Type 2 lurked around every proverbial corner.

Changing her lifestyle changed who she is as a person. Down that 65 pounds, she says her life is nothing like it used to be. Through hard work, great supplements, and a complete make over, she finally started living her life.

Read on for the interview.

The Interview

Tell us about your transformation and what inspired it.

What started my transformation was I got tired of being tired. Being in my younger twenties it was hard to stay active with being heavy. I always felt like the ugly duckling or less because I weighed more. I was unhappy with who I was becoming and didn’t approve of the girl in the mirror

What was your biggest obstacle and how did you overcome it?

FOOD! Trying to loose weight and change my life choosing the right portions and food choices was my struggle. It was hard when everyone else could eat whatever they wanted and I had to stay in line with my diet.

How has Bucked Up helped with your journey?

Bucked Up gave me the supplements I needed to keep my goals happening along with results occurring! Bucked Up also gave me a community of like minded people who would help motivate and support me.

What do you do for motivation?

I always keep pictures of where I started around so I know what to do to keep going. Along with never forgetting this journey is a marathon not a sprint and goals take time

What are your favorite Bucked Up products and flavors?

What was the one thing that most impacted your success?

My family support. Blood relatives and fitness family supporting my goals

Any advice you’d like to give to people looking to start their own journey?

My advice to anyone would be to keep going. Even on the days when it’s hard! It’s not always going to be easy but it will forever be worth it!

Logan Peterson

Logan Peterson is an avid writer and an unprofessional, non-competitive bodybuilder. Logan has several degrees, all of which he made up to sound more credible (for obvious reasons, Legal said he can’t list them). In truth, he simply has an insatiable curiosity. After eleven years of obsessive research, he knows too much about fitness, nutrition, and supplementation for his own good. Despite all appearances, he’s fiercely nerdy. Outside of fitness, his passions are reading and writing; his genre interests run the gamut from litrpg to satire. Due to ADHD, he’s currently working on several novels, and will likely publish all of them at once. And yes, he wrote his own bio...in third person.
